Terms and licence
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. Scope and contracting party
These terms apply to the purchase and use of SpaceBroom. The seller and licensor is DIGITALPASSION Ltd., Tassou Papadopoulou 16, House 2, 8270 Tremithousa, Cyprus, telephone +357 97610455, email support@spacebroom.app ("we"). The payment process is handled by Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a company of the Stripe group): Link accepts the payment for us in its own name, issues the invoice and pays the VAT. The terms of Link also apply to the payment process.
2. Conclusion of the contract
The presentation on this website is not yet a binding offer. The buy button of the chosen plan takes you to Link's payment process; there you see the product, price and term, can check and correct your entries before submitting them, and make your offer by paying. The contract is concluded as soon as the payment is confirmed. Link sends you the receipt, and we send you the licence key by email. The contract languages are German and English. We do not store the contract text separately for you; you can view and save these terms here at any time.
3. Service
You receive a licence to use SpaceBroom on one Mac that you own or use: with the yearly or monthly subscription for the term of the subscription, with the one-time purchase without a time limit. System requirements: macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Without a licence you can download SpaceBroom and scan your Mac; once per Mac you can try all features free of charge for 7 days.
4. Price and payment
The price shown at the time of purchase applies, including VAT. Subscriptions are billed in advance for the respective term.
In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, for the one-time purchase and for the first payment of a subscription we refund the full amount on request within 30 days of the purchase or of the first payment respectively. Renewals of a subscription are excluded from this. Refunds that Link grants under its own terms remain unaffected.
If a payment is refunded in full or charged back, we revoke the licence paid for with it: SpaceBroom then no longer carries out actions on real data, while scanning remains possible. If a chargeback is decided in our favour, the licence applies again.
5. Term and cancellation of the subscriptions
The monthly subscription renews for one month at a time and can be cancelled at any time with effect from the end of the paid month. The yearly subscription has a minimum term of one year and can be cancelled up to its end; after that it continues for an indefinite period, is still billed yearly in advance and can be cancelled at any time with one month's notice. If it ends in this way before the end of a paid year, we refund the amount for the paid time after the end of the contract pro rata by the day. You can cancel without logging in via "Cancel contracts here" on every page of this website, by email, at Link (link.com), through which you paid, or in Stripe's customer portal. If you cancel a yearly subscription after its first year at Link or in the customer portal, the same applies: it ends one month after your cancellation, and we refund the paid time after that pro rata by the day. To the customer portal.
6. Right of use
You may install and use SpaceBroom within the scope of the licence. Renting it out is not permitted. You may pass on a licence from the one-time purchase to another person if you no longer use SpaceBroom with it yourself afterwards; a subscription licence is tied to the subscription.
7. Updates
We provide the updates that are necessary for SpaceBroom to remain in conformity with the contract, including security updates: with a subscription for its entire term, with the one-time purchase for the period you can expect under the law. Beyond that, the one-time purchase includes all new features of version 1; a version 2 may cost extra. SpaceBroom reports new versions and installs them only if you agree. If you do not install an update provided within a reasonable period, we are not liable for a defect resulting solely from this, provided that we informed you of its availability and the consequences and that it was not due to faulty installation instructions.
8. Warranty
The statutory rights for defects in digital products apply. Please report a defect to support@spacebroom.app.
9. Your data
SpaceBroom removes only what you expressly confirm and, where possible, moves files to the Trash. Nevertheless, keep a current backup, for example with Time Machine.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body and health, under the Product Liability Act and to the extent that we have given a guarantee. In the case of slight negligence, we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations, that is, those whose fulfilment makes the contract possible in the first place and on which you may rely, and limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract. In this case, we are liable for the loss of data only up to the effort that would have been necessary to restore it if data had been backed up regularly.
11. Withdrawal
As a consumer, you have a right of withdrawal of 14 days; the details are in the withdrawal notice. You can also withdraw online via "Withdraw from contract" on every page of this website.
12. Applicable law and dispute resolution
The law of the Republic of Cyprus applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you additionally retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the state in which you have your habitual residence. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
